First TERBERG tractors, model BC182 in France

 

The TERBERG yard tractor BC182 has been specifically designed for the transfer of boxes on swap bodies. It has been made to take boxes from stocking areas and tranfer it on quays without manual handling and vice versa.

 

CHRONOPOST INTERNATIONAL, one of the French leaders in the delivery of small parcels, has turned its strategy towards swap body boxes. Far more lighter than trailers, swap body boxes are much more easy to handle. Two swap body boxes equal a trailer volume and it can be dispatched down town without breakdown. The 4 x 4 tractors are designed to charge and discharge RoRo ships.



The 4 x 4 tractors are equipped with a fully rotating steering console, which allows either pulling or pushing trailers.
